Introduction to CAD with TinkerCad
Saturday April 21, 2018
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM You may have heard of 3D printing as an example of additive manufacturing used for creating 3-dimensional objects of your own design and creation. Come learn some of the basics on how you can create your own 3D models which can then be brought to life with a 3D printer. Using Tinkercad, a free browser based design software, we will cover basic concepts for creating these models including object manipulation, grouping, holing, model measurement, model export, and more. We will also have a 3D printer on hand, so you can see the process of how a model goes from something to digital to something physical that you can hold in your hand!
Those registering for this class should have a significant comfort level with using a computer mouse, keyboard and the Internet. Registration is required, and begins March 30th. Please call 973-538-2592 to register or for more information.
